Ahh, it is good to finally have this blog up and running! I have been meaning to do so for quite a while now and could never find the time, as is always the way!
So, what is this blog about? Well, beer. It is not about cans of cheap supermarket lager or drunk teenagers, it is about discovering wonderful new tastes and experiencing true beer culture. There is a 'Homer Simpson' stereotype attached to beer, and I, along with many others, want this idea eradicated from the minds of the public. We see beer as a drink as classy as a fine wine and as flavourful as a good whiskey, and hopefully you, the reader, will discover this too.
Over time we will cover ales, lagers, stouts, wheat beers, rice beers, bitters, unfiltered beers, filtered beers, doppio maltos and many more. Beer is one of the widest ranging topics under the alcohol umbrella and is also one of the purest manufactured goods on earth, averaging around 4 ingredients in a good beer , so I will be posting regularly with new beers, recipies, local hotspots and beer related events, but for now, goodbye!
